Hilary & Brian's Engagement Session in Fort Worth, Texas
Recently, Jay photographed Hilary & Brian's Fort Worth engagement session around the Foundry District. Engagement sessions give you the perfect chance to see first hand how your photographer works. 1. Tell us who you are, and what you're most looking forward to about being married to each other.
We are Brian and Hilary. We first met at work, and have become best friends, lovers, and travel companions. We are looking forward to starting a new adventure together and growing our family.
2. When was the last time either of you had professional photos taken, and how did it feel having your engagement photos taken.
The last time either of us had professional photos taken was for our high school yearbook! We usually don't like to have our picture taken at all. Jay was absolutely phenomenal. We thought it would be a very awkward experience to have engagement photos taken, but it wasn't. Jay made us feel so comfortable, we had a blast.
3. What vision did you have for your engagement session? And how did you go about bringing it to life whether through your style, location or something else?
We had no vision. We trusted Jay completely and he delivered. We were so impressed with some of the detail in the photos. There are a few pictures where you can see our reflection in a window, those were awesome. The balance of color and shade, the angles he posed us at, it feels like more than just a photograph.
4. Why were engagement photos important to you both, and what do you plan to do with them?
We wanted to do engagement photos so that we could meet the photographer before he shared one of the most important days of our lives with us. We will add them to the many photos of us that will be taken throughout our years together.
