Morcelia & Philip's Engagement Session at Papago Park in Phoenix, Arizona
Papago Park in Phoenix was THE perfect location for Morcelia & Philip's engagement photo session. We hiked to the top of the rock formation to get photos at the hole in the rock. It's really not that far up BUT it scares me just thinking about what I did to get the some of those shots. And I don't even have a fear of heights. It was soooooo worth it though! Just look at the magic we made!
Jay and I can't wait to capture their wedding this Spring here in DFW with KP Event Designs!
1. Tell us who you are, and what you’re most looking forward to about being married to each other.
My name is Morcelia, I am a Physical Therapist. Philip, my fiancé, is a Deputy Sheriff. We are most looking forward to spending our time together, starting and maintaining a loving family, learning the many different quirks that come with growing old together, seeing new places, and growing professionally with one another's support.
2. When was the last time either of you had professional photos taken, and how did it feel having your engagement photos taken?
During a trip to Jamaica last year, we had professional pictures taken. Those pictures were fun because it captured a unique moment in our lives. But our engagement session with Amber was surreal because although the actual proposal already happened, these photos captured the beginning of our shared lives and the beginning of ALL the moments to come.
3. What vision did you have for your engagement session? And how did you go about bringing it to life?
Our vision for this session was to incorporate the mountains and deserts that are native to Phoenix, Arizona. Philip and I are both transplants to the state and this was an exciting way to capture being established in a new place and a new phase of life.
4. Why were engagement photos important to you both?
These photos will be keepsakes for years to come, so it is important for us to have them to mark the monumental occasion. We plan to print these pictures for our new home as part of the décor and for conversational moments during guest visits. Seeing them every day reminds us of our love for each other and how it started.
